Dinner at Red Ribbon

Last night, we dined at Red Ribbon Bakeshop for dinner. We were already very hungry when we reached the place so we hurriedly ordered for our food. I had Creamy Carbonara, Elvin had Salisbury Steak, while Tomomi had Lasagna.

Why did we choose to eat at Red Ribbon?

The first reason. Red Ribbon seldom gets jam-packed. Unlike it's nearby fastfoods, like Jollibee and McDonald's, Red Ribbon usually has more vacant seats during peak hours. It's not that there are less people eating in Red Ribbon. It's mainly because Red Ribbon is more famous for it's cakes and other delicacies which are commonly ordered and taken out. Customers usually buy sweet treats for their loved ones and enjoy eating them at home. Thankfully, when we came to eat last night, there were few more seats available and the atmosphere was more quiet.

The second reason. Red Ribbon offers limited food choices compared to other fastfoods but the food they offer taste really good. For example, last night, Elvin said that his Salisbury Steak tasted really really good. In fact, he literally ate everything on his plate. He said that the steak was so tender and juicy. He even wished he was more mashed potato. He swore he could have eaten a lot of it, had there been more.

As for me and Tomomi, we both aggreed missing the garlic bread that usually comes with any order of pasta. The bread served last night was not as good as the old garlic bread we used to have. But I guess that one has more fiber in it, by its look and taste. Healthy but not so tasty, at least, for our taste.

My carbonara was the usual creamy pasta with delicious white sauce. I just didn't like it much that night because it was served cold. I was expecting to have a warm carbonara, at least. Thankfully, as I've written earlier, I was already very hungry at that time and so I came to eating up everything anyway, except for the small pieces of chicken meat that I was having trouble swallowing.

I don't know if something was wrong with our genes but Tomomi also had a problem eating the ground meat in her lasagna. Our plates ended up having lots of wasted meat on one side.

Thank goodness, the lasagna tasted well and Tomomi happily ate the rest of it. She said the lasagna was indeed creamy, exactly the way they named it, "creamy lasagna."

Over all, the experience was great and I hope to get a taste of the Salisbury Steak next time.
